Allergen-Free Tropical Carrot Smoothie

Yum. Yum. Yum.

Trust me on this one. It may sound like an interesting combination, but it’s delicious. It’s my second morning making it for breakfast.

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. If using frozen fruit, heat in microwave for about 45 seconds to soften fruit. Add to blender.
  2. Top with lime juice and protein powder.
  3. Finally, add carrot juice and coconut milk.
  4. Blend.

*I usually make my breakfast smoothies in the evening and store in the fridge so I can grab and go in the morning. Works really well!

Orange Cream Milkshake

Just so you know, the naval oranges on sale this week (at our local grocery stores) are just heavenly! We only bought 3 Saturday and I ate all 3 of them yesterday because they were that good. One I ate with breakfast and the other 2 I cut up and put into a post-workout milkshake. It tasted just like an Orange Julius.

Ingredients:

  • 2 fresh oranges – cut into pieces
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/2 cup skim milk

Directions: Blend and sip.
